So a couple of weeks ago I decided it was time to do some major cleaning out and reorganizing of my scrap room. I must preface this with my scrap room is also my sewing and laundry room. Still haven't figured out what I should call it. Here are some before photos that were taken not long after we had to redo the roof above my room so I decided to paint the old stained paneling and cabinets. Of course it hadn't looked that clean and neat since those were taken. It might be odd to scrap in your laundry room, but it's large enough and it's something that has evolved over time and truly works extremely well for me. But back to the reorganization. Everything had gotten out of place and cluttered. It took 3 days to purge and get it like I wanted it, but thankfully I managed to get it done. Everything has a home and most everything in closed containers is labeled. Things I use regularly are out so I can see it. I've discovered I'm one of those types that needs most things out in the open so I can see it and thus use it. I bought the chrome wire shelving at Target. I moved the cat's necessities to the other corner and have done a bit of rearranging in our den to accomodate DS's art easel. And so here's the new arrangement. No new paint. I still love my green color. And you can kind of see it as it is almost every day. Drying racks holding sweaters, laundry in the basket, etc. Well, I'm off to work on the projects for my stamp camp this coming Saturday. Have a great hump day!
my scrap stuff is in the laundry room as well, but it's more like a laundry closet!! :) Your stuff looks fantastic! You did a great job. I love how everything that's put away is visible too since you have lots of clear containers. I hope one day I'll have a whole room too and can keep it this organized!

I don't think it's weird at all to have the scrapping in the laundry room! In fact, DH probably wishes I would do that, so that I wouldn't just *ignore* the dryer signal when it goes off. (On the other hand, I scrap in my kitchen; if I didn't do that, we would probably all starve.)

Wow!! Amy, I love that green color first of all and, secondly, your room looks awesome!!! I'm always soooo inspired to create when I'm in a newly organized scrap area. Have fun!!!

Ok, since you have so much time on your hands and seem to enjoy organizing so much, how about you come help you deperately disorganized sister with her computer room and garage. :)
